(KITAB) Penang
Kolej Islam Teknologi Antarabangsa (KITAB) Pulau Pinang is an Islamic Higher Education Institution wholly owned by the Penang State Islamic Religious Council (MAINPP). KITAB was established on 12 May 2004 after receiving approval from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia
KITAB is a continuation of a Maahad Tahfiz Al-Quran Wal Qiraat (MTQNPP) established by the Penang State Islamic Religious Council (MAINPP) in 1995 which offers a Diploma Program in Tahfiz Al-Quran in collaboration with Darul Quran Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). KITAB began operations as an IPT in 2005 following the progress and development by MTQNPP which successfully produced Tahfiz Al-Quran Diploma graduates.
KITAB plays a role in creating integrated education covering intellectual, spiritual, and physical aspects to produce individuals who are balanced, harmonious, and of noble character to meet the workforce needs in building the generation of the community and the country’s development.
Until now, KITAB has four (4) School of Studies, namely the School of Islamic and Contemporary Studies, School of Tahfiz Al Quran, School of Muamalat and Management Science and the School of Language and General Studies
In order to realize the new motto of KITAB, which is “Spurring the Legacy of Tarbiyah Towards Creating Ulul Albab”, planning has been carried out in stages to achieve KITAB’s vision and mission goals through the 2020-2030 Strategic Plan.
