Diploma in Islamic Studies

The goal of the Diploma in Islamic Studies program is to enrich students with a deep understanding of various branches of Islamic Studies, including Aqidah, al-Quran, Hadith, Sharia, Ethics, Sufism, Islamic Thought and Philosophy, Da’wah, and Comparative Religion. This program focuses on how scholars analyze and solve community issues based on trusted sources, as well as fact-finding skills on Islamic religious issues. The integration of Islamic Studies with Early Childhood Education is emphasized through elective courses. Through this program, students are trained to provide services and assistance in Islamic affairs, as well as acquire competencies relevant to current demands and global needs, in addition to the moral, ethical, and spiritual values of Islam.
Duration of study
Study course for 6 semesters (2 years)
Entry requirements
- Have a Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least three (3) honors in any subject
- Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 MQF in a related field and have an SPM with at least honors in one (1) subject and through a strengthening program (if necessary); or
- Pass a Community College Certificate equivalent to MQF Level 3 in a related field and possess SPM with at least honors in one (1) subject and through a strengthening program (if necessary); or
- Passed a certificate (MQF Level 3) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; or
- Pass STPM or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in one (1) subject; or
- Pass STAM (Maqbul rank); or
- Other recognized equivalent qualifications.
