Shariah Diploma

The aim of the Syariah Diploma program is to enrich students with extensive knowledge in Islamic Studies and the field of Sharia. This program focuses on understanding how sharia scholars analyze and solve community issues as well as fact-finding skills on sharia issues. The focus of the program is on Fiqh and Usul Fiqh, with an emphasis on the integration of sharia knowledge with law and finance through elective courses. Students are trained to provide service and assistance in Islamic affairs.
Duration of study
Study course for 6 semesters (2 years)
Entry requirements
- Have a Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least three (3) honors in any subject
- Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 MQF in a related field and have an SPM with at least honors in one (1) subject and through a strengthening program (if necessary); or
- Pass a Community College Certificate equivalent to MQF Level 3 in a related field and possess SPM with at least honors in one (1) subject and through a strengthening program (if necessary); or
- Passed a certificate (MQF Level 3) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; or
- Pass STPM or equivalent by getting at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in one (1) subject; or
- Pass STAM (Maqbul rank); or
- Other recognized equivalent qualifications.
