Diploma in Finance

(MQA-A 8304) (JPT-R2/343/4/0273)

The Diploma in Finance programme was developed to introduce graduates the principles of finance from an Islamic perspective in the operation of Islamic financial institutions. In addition, this programme also provides an understanding the role of Islamic finance in the current business and economic environment. This programme is developed taking into account the industry views in terms of concepts and theories relevant in the areas of finance, business, investment, banking, takaful and trade to graduates in the current financial scenario.

Study course for 6 semesters (2 years)

  • Have a Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least three (3) honors in any subject
    Pass the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 MQF in a related field and have an SPM with at least honors in one (1) subject and through a strengthening program (if necessary); or
    Pass a Community College Certificate equivalent to MQF Level 3 in a related field and possess SPM with at least honors in one (1) subject and through a strengthening program (if necessary); or
    Passed a certificate (MQF Level 3) in a related field with at least a CGPA of 2.00; or
    Pass STPM or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in one (1) subject; or
    Pass STAM (Maqbul rank); or
    Other recognized equivalent qualifications.
